Terms of Use

The rules for using RankDeterminant, a JEE learning service for students.

1. Who provides the service

RankDeterminant is a trade name used by an individual educational-service operator based in Delhi, India. The service is independently operated and is not affiliated with NTA, JAB, IITs, JoSAA or any examination authority.

Legal and student contactadmin@rankdeterminant.com. A dedicated business correspondence address is being established so the operator's private residential address is not published.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You can create an account with an email address or an Indian mobile number and a password. By creating an account you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. Give accurate information and keep your password private.

One account is for one learner. Do not share, sell or hand over your account, and do not create more than one account for yourself.

RankDeterminant is designed for students preparing for the JEE. A student under 18 should use the service with the agreement of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for supervising the account. A parent or guardian may ask us to close a child's account at any time.

3. Learning services and the monthly plan

Without logging in you can use Unit 1 of each subject, three concepts picked each day, the daily-test leaderboard and a short practice set. When you create an account, everything is open to you for your first 14 days at no cost: every unit of every subject, the daily test, the Sunday JEE Main mock, your projected percentile and rank, the tutor and the study coach. Accounts created before 18 October 2026 have these 14 days from 17 October 2026, to the end of 31 October 2026.

After the 14 days your account needs the monthly plan to keep using them: ₹99 a month, paid through Razorpay. You choose the plan yourself; nothing is charged unless you do. The plan renews automatically every month, and ₹99 is charged at each renewal until you cancel. You can cancel the renewal at any time from your account: the plan then stays open to the end of the month you have paid for and is not charged again. Without the plan your account and your progress are kept. Payments and refunds are explained on the Billing and Refunds pages.

We may add, change or retire features as the course develops.

Lessons, exercises, diagnostics, mastery scores and rank bands are educational tools. They do not guarantee examination scores, ranks, admission, counselling outcomes or academic results.

4. Daily tests, Sunday mocks and the leaderboard

Daily tests and the Sunday JEE Main mock are open to every logged-in student whose account is open (its first 14 days, or the monthly plan). Each test allows one attempt per account and is timed by our servers; when the time runs out, your saved answers are submitted. The public leaderboard shows ranks, scores and times only, not names.

Do not share questions or answers while a test is open, use more than one account, or let someone else take a test for you. We may remove scores from the leaderboard, or restrict an account, where we see misuse. Questions are written and checked carefully, but if one turns out to be wrong we may correct its answer key or remove it from marking, which can change scores and ranks. You can report a problem with any question.

5. The tutor

The tutor gives educational guidance and can make mistakes, so check important answers against the worked solutions. Every account can ask 20 tutor questions a week, and a written study plan from the study coach counts as one of them. The week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59, India time, and the count resets every Monday.

To keep the tutor running for everyone, it may also pause until the next day when it has answered a very large number of questions, across the site or from one network. These limits may change, and the tutor panel shows how many questions you have left. Use the tutor for your own JEE study, not to produce material for others.

6. Acceptable use and intellectual property

RankDeterminant's lessons, questions, solutions, visuals, software and branding are protected content. Your account gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service for study.

You may not reproduce or distribute substantial parts of the content, share your account, create extra accounts to get around limits, scrape the service, bypass access controls, interfere with security, upload malicious code, or use the platform unlawfully. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect learners, content or the service.

7. Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep the service available and accurate, but maintenance, provider outages and corrections may occur. If something you rely on stops working, contact support and we will try to put it right.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, RankDeterminant is not responsible for indirect loss, examination outcomes or decisions made solely from an estimated rank band.

Changes

We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the site, or by email where we have one, where appropriate.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Indian law. Applicable consumer rights and the jurisdiction available under consumer law remain unaffected.

8. Questions or complaints
